What a fantastic experience! This was unfortunately cancelled previously due to the weather but definitely worth the wait. The staff were very friendly and professional from administration to the staff on the ground. Safety and our enjoyment paramount and we were very excited! The pilot Steve was great- very knowledgable about the area and explained everything on the flight , making sure we were enjoying it. Clear blue skies- fantastic views of Goodwood , the beaches and Chichester harbour. Wonderful!

For a number of years our six and a half year old granddaughter has said she would love to fly, so we saved up for a helicopter flight for her. Today was the day. We had kept the trip a secret until we drove through the underpass at Goodwood and she saw the Elite Helicopters sign. She was so exited. From the second we arrived at the reception gazebo to the second we left we had superb service from all the Elite staff. The reception lady, the briefing gent, the crew, the photographer and helpers and the pilot Tim were all wonderful with our granddaughter. Amelia was allowed to sit next to Tim and she had the time of her life.

What A FANTASTIC Flight I had with my Family. Very Friendly Staff. I would Recommend anyone to go to Elite Helicopters First.

After a cloudy start to the day we were picked up from the hotel and transported back too the aerodrome via the scenic route which was lovely great experience. Grandson loved the flight and the take of from the hotel 'whilst he waved madly at the customers in the hotel', also loved the headset

Fantastic service at all points, Niamh on reception was really friendly and welcoming, made us coffee and had a chat whilst waiting.Ground brief was pitched at the perfect level for first time flying (or even being in!) a helicopter. I was clearly very nervous but Kim the instructor was so relaxed and I never felt unsafe, even when I was in control. Can only speak for the trial lesson but would recommend to anybody considering getting into flying or even just for an experience that most will probably never have! Will definitely be booking in to go back and after one session even considering trying for a private license thanks to these guys.

Recent trip.
Bad weather meant we three could not see Portsmouth as planned but Captain Will, charming and efficient, had a cunning plan and that was to fly along the coast towards Shoreham returning with a view of Arundel.
Our day salvaged, and Porrsmouth perhaps saved for another day.

We hired an exclusive 6 seater flight for my Mums 80th birthday. We were very impressed with the personal service we were given and the immaculate premises where we, as a family, could spectate during the 30min flight. Would highly recommend!

I bought this for my grandad for his 80th birthday. He was nervous because he had only flown once before but he had a wonderful time and gave us a fantastic joint experience!

Decided that a treat was in order and as we were going to the Goodwood Revival while not take the opportunity and fly in. My son and I would both highly recommend doing this no traffic, no waiting in line, just park up and fly over the beautiful countryside and enjoy the ride. Both pilots were absolutely brilliant as were the 2 gentlemen who looked after us when we arrived at the terminal in a field 😂 From start finish it was brilliant and to top it all refreshments were available at Goodwood on arrival and when you leave. This will not be a one off I will be doing this again and I may next time take the wife instead, if she is good. Thank you and thank you to all your people who were there my son and I loved it.

Overall the trip was very good knowledgeable pilot giving commentary all the while during flight. Only thing for ne was at the end as we disembarked the helicopter i noticed they were hot refueling. (Refueling with rotors still running) i asked someone aren't they supposed to have fire cover whilst doing this. To which i recieved a rather blasè answer of as he pointed and said the fire stations over there. End of discussion. I felt this not to be the safest of things to do without firecover in attendance . This was the only down part of the trip. Hence i wont be going again. Im sure CAA regulations would require this. .

The trip was a 30 minute flight around the coast. It was booked as a 25th wedding anniversary gift for my wife and it didn’t disappoint. From start to finish our pilot talked us through the safety briefing and onto the aircraft for the flight , he was very knowledgeable and easy going which really made our day. Everyone enjoyed the experience and l would definitely recommend it on a summers day.

Firstly I just wanted to say what an absolutely brilliant experience!!I paid for both myself and my son to have a 40 minute sight seeing tour to Portsmouth. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely young lady who booked us in and gave us our tickets. After a short wait of about 20 Minutes (I arrived early) we then had a safety brief covering the "do's & dont's" of operating around a live airfield and aircraft safety etc... We were then escorted to the helicopter by the same member of staff. Just before you board you get a picture taken by a company photographer which is a nice touch.Once on board you are checked by ground staff to make sure you have your seatbelts and headset on before they close the doors to the aircraft, so if you are a nervous flyer you will certainly be given that warm fuzzy feeling and I can honestly say you have nothing to worry about apart from wanting the flight to last longer!The pilot (so sorry I forgot his name in all the excitement) then introduced himself and checked that all the passengers had communications with him before liftoff! We were then treated to some amazing views of the Sussex area on route to Portsmouth. Along the way the pilot gave us constant updates of the various things below us, he must be a history buff as well because I was massively impressed with his local knowledge. Once we arrived at Portsmouth we passed the Spinnaker Tower and were taken over the dockyard where we were lucky enough to see the Royal Navy's latest aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth which was in port undergoing some maintenance, as well as other naval vessels including the de-commissioned HMS Bristol and HMS Victory etc... After a short hover for pictures we were then flown back towards Goodwood, again being treated to some amazing views and the pilots excellent knowledge of the area below us. Finally upon arrival back at the aerodrome once the aircraft touches down you are then greeted by ground staff who escort you out of the aircraft and over to the safe area where you have the opportunity to purchase the picture taken by the photographer prior to boarding, which costs an extra £10 per picture which is definitely worth it. Overall I would highly recommend Elite Helicopters, it was a brilliant experience especially for my son who had never even flown in a helicopter before! I am certainly going to book another flight so I hope this review gives others confidence to do the same.

After a couple of weather related cancellations, we got to fly today. The experience was amazing. We were given plenty of information and safety rules to keep everyone safe. The pilot was local and really knew about the area we flew over, given us points of interest throughout the flight over Chichester harbour area. The views were spectacular and the autumn colours around Goodwood were worth seeing. Definitely a trip to remember. Thank you. Shirley and Craig

Absolutely lovely day, easy to find and once there, staff were all lovely and helpful (helped our kids in and out and put seatbelts on them for us) briefing was thorough and funny. Never been on a helicopter before but after today, I would definitely do it again, it does go really quick though which is the only bad part haha. Kids were bouncing around after wanting to do it again and for longer so they were pleased too, would very much recommend it 😁

Flight was on 3 August 2022 an 80th birthday gift.Everything was well organised with a big emphasis on safety. Perfect weather for the trip. We flew down to the south coast and west with pilot being very informative pointing out points of interest which made the flight more interesting. Hoping to do it again on my 90th. Highly recommend.

EXCELLENT, BRILLIANT, UNBELIEVABLE, AND FINALLY, FANTASTIC would so love to have the opportunity to be a passenger in an elite helicopter again. We booked a half hour tall ships flight for 09/10/2022 at 10;40 am the weather was great,unbelievably.We were told to arrive 10 minuets early due to myself being disabled and confined to a wheelchair which you might think would be an issue, not a problem at all we were greeted with open arms and a great big smile by an elite member of staff, we were given the standard health and safety induction talk, and that was given with humor even though it was most probably the 100,000th time of reciteme2nt,which put us both at ease straight away. The next minute I was being wheeled out to meet the helicopter with a helping hand from another great member of staff i was securely strapped in.Our pilot was called Steve and what an absolute star he is, as soon as we were airborne, he was pointing out interesting buildings or features, he did not stop from lift off to landing so if you can, try and get Steve as your pilot. He made the whole experience so much more enjoyable, Unfortunately the experience ends far too soon a 4-hour helicopter flight would be great. So, if you are thinking about having a flight experience or giving one as a gift, just do it but make sure it is with elite helicopters and Steve is your pilot. Many many thanks to all at elite helicopters.

The helicopter flight over Portsmouth by Elite Helicopters is one of the best experiences of my life. The views of Chichester, Selsey and Portsmouth from the air were unbelievable. All the staff are very professional ,friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend Elite Helicopters to family and friends. We booked in for a beaches and bays tour for 3 people for my 7 year old grandson’s birthday. We arrived and there was a small misunderstanding with the booking, not a problem, the staff and manager quickly resolved this and we waited 30 minutes longer and got to watch the cars racing around the motor circuit. Our flight had spaces so my partner and a friend joined us on the flight, out pilot was amazing, he chatted away to my grandson who sat next to him, as locals he fully focussed on what we would like to see, pointing out things we were familiar with including our houses, landmarks and schools. It was a beautiful sunny day, perfect to capture photos and videos. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would highly recommend a trip with Elite helicopters, they are so warm and welcoming, we don’t forget our experience!

Enjoyed a ten minute flight over the Goodwood Estate and beyond. Really helpful, polite, friendly and professional staff. Steve, our pilot, talked to us throughout the flight pointing out areas of interest. Would recommend the experience to everyone.

What an excellent experience the entire team are so professional with Steve the pilot giving an excellent tour over to Portsmouth and back to Goodward. The weather was excellent and the views equally spectacular definitely recommend the South Coast Sightseeing tour with these guys.

Fantastic flight out towards the South Coast from Goodwood Aerodrome and around Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and the South Downs before heading back. The weather was beautiful and clear and I couldn't recommend Elite Helicopters enough, very professional.

An absolutely amazing experience and definately worth a try!

This was the first time I had moved from fixed wing to helicopters and I am pretty much hooked, the team teaching you are profesional and skilled pilots and the aircraft are in very good condition.

They fully go through everything you need to know about the basics of flying helicopters in the classroom, they explain how the controls work before you head out to the airfield.

When you get to the helicopter they then show you the details of how it works on a mechanical level which helps to further teach you about how to fly, aswell as how the helicopter works with inputs from the controls.

You get a good hour up in the air and for the most part you are the one flying, the only time they take back control is if you are going abit off course or when they are teaching you engine failure proceedures.
As a whole once you are up and flying it is fairly easy to control, just keep an eye on the surroundings, the altitude and the climb/descent rate.

You do get a go at hovering aswell at the end which is a fun challenge.

As a whole I would highly recomend a flight with Elite Helicopters! 😀

Booked a trial Helicopter lesson for my Father in law for his Birthday. It was excellent. The staff are so accommodating and helpful. The pilot was brilliant. Distancing measures are also excellent and there is a good viewing spot for anyone not able to get too close. Cannot fault the experience at a more than fair price. Have not seen such a big smile of the birthday boys face. Brilliant.

Booked the ‘Towers, Tall Ships and Portsmouth Helicopter Experience’ for a relatives birthday. Staff were absolutely fantastic and Steve our pilot was brilliant, especially with his knowledge of the surrounding areas.

We had an amazing flight with Elite Helicopters from Goodwood. It was brilliant seeing many places that we know and love from the sky, it's honestly one of the best things I have done.

When I arrived for my flight I was very nervous but sitting next to the pilot he soon calmed me down, the take off was smooth and gained height slowly which put everybody at ease we flew over the Rolls Royce factory which is adjacent to the Goodwood airfield before heading towards the coast, as we flew over Earnley the pilot pointed out a fire breaking out he contacted the fire services further along the coast we could see the fire engine racing to the fire the pilot asked me to take pictures which I did later sending them to some news outlets we went further along the coast to Portsmouth harbour seeing several ships in dock from here we made our way back flying over hayling island ,Emsworth and Bosham and of course Earnley to see how the fire 🔥 was ,now under control but a lot of damage ,from there we headed back to Goodwood were a very safe landing was made I forgot to mention this was a birthday present one which I will never forget and now feel safe flying in helicopters thanks to that wonderful pilot

My husband booked a 10 minute flight for us as a Birthday treat for me. It was cencelled twice. The first time was owing to helicopter maintenance and the second time was owing to bad weather. We finally got to fly on our third booking! The Company do not give refunds only re-book facility. So you need to be aware of this if you are booking to celebrate a special occasion. All staff were very friendly and helpful as well as being efficient. You must arrive half an hour before your flight time. There is plenty of parking and only a short distance to walk. You are given a short talk on safety procedures. You can take your own photos. They take a picture of you before boarding the helicopter which you can purchase after your flight for £10. You will be asked if you want to pay an extra £10 to sit in the front seat next to the pilot. I was quite nervous of going on this flight but I must say it was very smooth and very enjoyable. The ten minutes was over very quickly. Thanks for a pleasant experience.

I received a voucher as a birthday gift last year but various cancellations due to bad weather and no pilots meant I had to delay my flight. Even though the voucher had expired in the meantime I was allowed to carry it over as it was beyond my control. But finally I got to fly today and the weather was perfect. I was lucky enough to be able to get the front seat up with the pilot. It was an amazing experience. The views were breathtaking. I did the 20 min coastal tour and to see places from the air that I have regularly visited was really spectacular. The pilot pointed out places of interest along the way. All the staff were very friendly and there were drinks/snacks available and seating for spectators. I had a wonderful experience and would love to do it again some time. I thoroughly recommend it.

I started my PPL (H) with them part time in April and completed it by the end of August! (5 Months)
Great Instructors who take the time to sit and talk about aviation matters as well as having brilliant ground training schools. Modern and well equipped Helicopters with bases in Surrey & Sussex. One of the best learning experiences I have ever had!! They made it fun but safe and always left with a smile. They have access to all sorts of helicopters; R22, R44, Cabri G2, Bell 206 and many more...
If anyone is thinking about doing there PPL or just sight seeing I would definitely recommend it.

Flying at 1,600' above the area I live in created a whole new prospective - not to mention the revelation of the names of thrice and famous who live in this area. Great experience.

Excellent experience

The trip was a birthday present, to full-fill something on my bucket list. The ground staff were friendly and approachable. The safety briefing was informative. We were lead out to the waiting helicopter, where we posed for a photo (expensive at £10). The ground staff made sure we were all strapped in and had our head-phones on. The views were fantastic, amazing even. The flight was smooth at 1,000 feet. The pilot pointed out interesting factors during the flight. The pilot even wished me a happy birthday through our headphones. There was plenty of opportunity to take photo's or video's. Only wished it had lasted longer, 20 minutes passed by far too quickly.

I got my dad a helicopter flight for his 70th birthday present, as he’d never been in a helicopter before, so I thought I’d join him!
We both had a brilliant time! The venue was easy to find, easy to park and all the staff we spoke to were both friendly and professional. Would definitely go again! Although maybe have a go at flying one next time! And the marriage proposal berween another couple on the same flight helped make it a memorable trip!

Last Sunday I had a flight with Elite which was a present from my wife. I fly when ever I can but this was the first time with this company. I would like to say what a great customer focus team they are. My 15 year old son came to watch who is permanently in a wheelchair, they could not do enough for him. My flight was the last of a very long day yet they still offered to take pictures of the family with the helicopter and to make his day we managed to get him into the pilot seat. Thank you for making mine, his mums and Jared’s day �

I was presented with this trip by my daughter as a birthday present and it was a superb experience. The trip was taken in a Bell 206 with 5 passengers squeezed in very cosily! Beware if there are any "Large" persons boarding - it might be advisable to seek a later flight!! Good views over Goodwood - House & Racetrack as well as the southern areas of Chichester and Lakeside, unfortunately the pilot's narrative was constantly interrupted by constant air traffic messages which were annoying as we were all wearing headset/mic combis. I would have thought that split headsets would have solved that problem, with just the pilot instead of the passengers hearing every update from the air traffic control tower?
It seemed but a few minutes and we were heading back down to land and the experience was over. All in all a great flight but perhaps a longer trip next time!?

Best experience ever! I had flown with Elite before but this time my husband, who had not, was with me. The staff are incredible, a real asset to the business, not only that but someone,who was not wearing a hi-vis vest, took the trouble to show my husband around one of the standing helicopters and talk to him and let him sit in the cockpit!! Wow! The trip was amazing, the pilot Steve talked us through what we were seeing and at the end, despite the torrential rain that decided to appear, the staff were still laughing and cheerful. We did buy our photo which at ten pounds was reasonable and a great reminder of a wonderful flight! Will definitely go again and highly recommend!

We have nothing but praise for the professional and friendly attitude of all the Elite Helicopters team. The weather on the afternoon of Sunday 23 July deteriorated to such an extent that my mother-in-law's flight returned to base after just a few minutes, but after an hour's wait in the hangar, the rain stopped, the visibility lifted and they took off again. When they returned from their full flight she had such a big grin on her face! Thanks to all of you for making not just her day but apparently her year - she really enjoyed the whole experience and is already dropping hints about doing it again.

We cannot recommend Elite Helicopters enough. We had a superb trip, the staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Wonderful views and great commentary. A great way to see the area. A great bonus was seeing a Spitfire and Mustang take to the skies, wow.

My two children and I had a flight yesterday. This has been my lifetime ambition and can't believe I've finally done it ! Such an amazing experience and would highly recommend Elite Helicopters. The staff were amazing, and kept us updated as the weather was bad. The pilot was great and telling us where we were flying over. Really want to do this all over again !!! Thank you to all at Elite Helicopters for making it such a wonderful experience ...... The Lovett's xx
